My name is Kayla and I’m starting this fundraiser for my older brother, Kyle.

Kyle is the owner of DeSousa Plumbing and one of the hardest working people I know. More importantly, he is an amazing father to three beautiful little girls — ages 4, almost 2, and almost 1 — and a loving fiancé to Kassia. His family means everything to him, and he works incredibly hard every day to provide for them.

Kyle has lived with Type 1 diabetes since he was 13 years old. Unfortunately, his health has recently taken a serious turn and he is now in kidney failure. Kyle will need to relocate to Prince George for approximately six months to receive dialysis treatments while he waits for a kidney transplant.

During this time, Kyle will be unable to work while focusing on his health and treatments. As the sole provider for his family and the owner of his own plumbing business, this creates a very difficult situation for him, Kassia, and their three young daughters.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help support Kyle and his family with living expenses, travel, and medical-related costs while he goes through dialysis and waits for a kidney transplant.

Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease some of the stress on Kyle, Kassia, and their girls so they can focus on what matters most — Kyle’s health and being together as a family.
