Our beautiful daughter, Kyla, was diagnosed with epilepsy and migraines when she was 8 years old. She started with febrile seizures at the age of 2 and she had an abnormal scan when she got older. Kyla hasn't let this diagnosis slow her down by any means, but her neurologist has put limitations on her. For example, we were going to surprise her by going to The Eras Tour when it came to Indiana, but due to the lights, Pyro, smoke, and even the loud noises, her neurologist said no. Kyla is active in sports such as volleyball and basketball, and she is so smart. Her neurologist has asked us to get her black lab, Benny, trained to be a service animal. He would be classified as a "seizure alert dog". We found a reputable place locally, Medical Mutts.
