Hello, my name is Kyla Legrow (soon to be legally Cartwright). I am unfortunately the person on the news after hitting a boulder thrown into the road late in the evening on 5/25/25, while working for Uber and driving my last passenger home that evening. The boulder tore through my oil pan, and the full extent of the damage to my car is still unknown.

This happened 3 days before my wedding, which is what I was out making money for on top of my monthly bills. Due to the negligence of what looks like 2 younger teens, not only did it cause us to pull back on elopement plans, but it has now put me further in the hole with my car payment and made me panic about how I will get myself and my husband places, my children places, and bring them to Boston in 2 weeks to fly them to their father in Texas.

While I don’t like asking for help, I know I have a supportive circle who have wanted me to start a GoFundMe to help, and I truly can’t express how much I appreciate the want to help. I am currently in need of funds to repair my car and catch up on my car payment and monthly bills, while I’m out of work. Everything helps!
