On July 5th, my daughter Kyla Hudelson was struck by a car in Iowa by a driver that crossed the line, sideswiping her boyfriend's father's motorcycle, and striking the motorcycle she was riding with her boyfriend head-on. Tragically, her boyfriend was killed at the scene, and she is now at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

I am setting this up to help with expenses so I can stay with her there in Rochester while she goes through a lengthy recovery. She has broken bones in her jaw, both clavicles, elbow, femur, and both tibias, and her pelvis was severely damaged and is going to require significant surgery to rebuild and set. Doctors have already said they are not sure what level of mobility she is going to have when she finishes healing, and any leftover money will go to her at the end of this. She will likely be in the hospital a minimum of 6 weeks, not including rehab and any other medical requirements.

I'm asking for any donations to help defray the cost of living in another state for an extended period as I'm on a fixed income and cannot find another way that I can be there. Please help if you can. Thank you.

Just an update, she has been through multiple surgeries now. She has rods in both jer Tobias, and her femur. Today she goes in to repair her jaw and to wire it shut. Today is also the today she has a tracheotomy done. She has started to respond to verbal commands and to look at voices. She does thumbs up, wiggles her toes and squeezes hands on command. Overall it's looking better. Thank you to everyone who has supported us during this time, and to those who do so in the coming days. Shes going to have a long recovery journey but she'll be alive to make it for which I'm forever grateful.
