We are reaching out for your support during an incredibly difficult time. Kwame Overton, a devoted husband, father of two, and construction worker at Local 66 has suffered a sudden and life-threatening ruptured anterior cerebral artery (ACA) aneurysm, leading to a major subarachnoid hemorrhage.

What Happened?

After working the night shift Kwame came home and unexpectedly had a seizure—a terrifying moment that changed our lives forever. His wife and kids were present and took life saving measures to stabilize him. The seizure was caused by a ruptured aneurysm, which led to extremely critical bleeding in his brain. The pressure and fluid buildup became life-threatening, requiring immediate intervention.

A Long Road to Recovery

Kwame spent nearly three weeks in the ICU to prevent deadly complications which could have led to strokes or worse. The battle is not over yet—his recovery has been long and uncertain. Doctors have advised that he will need months of rehabilitation, and that he is currently unable to work due to his medical condition.
