Support Kuy on her Breast Cancer journey
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
In May my beautiful sister Kuy was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) at the young age of 28. With it being one of the most aggressive forms of breast cancer, Kuy’s life had instantly been turned upside down. She had to immediately stop her career as a primary school teacher, which she had just began, and had to rush through IVF treatment as soon as she was diagnosed to retrieve her eggs and shut down her ovaries to protect them whilst she began intense chemotherapy.
Kuy's strength and determination have always been and remain to be some of her defining qualities. Every day we can see her resilience, positivity, and unshakable commitment to tackle this head on and maintain as normal a life as possible.
With the many side effects ranging from a constant state of nausea and fatigue to loss of hair all over (eyebrows, eyelashes, head and body). The impact cancer has taken on Kuy’s self esteem and confidence, is very disheartening to experience. The costs of wigs to enable Kuy to feel a sense of self and identity throughout this process is just a dip into the many things she does to maintain some normalcy and to keep pushing forward in the most positive way that she can.
Kuy is now at a stage where she has had to decide which surgery path she will go down. She has chosen to undergo a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Which carries physical, emotional and financial tolls. Throughout recent months whilst undergoing 16 rounds of intense chemotherapy, she has continued to prioritise her family and friends. I think now is a time with looming scans, appointments, check ups, procedures and surgeries ahead in the following months that we can try support her in any way we can.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Kuy's life. Any funds raised will be paid directly onto the outstanding and upcoming IVF, Surgery and other medical costs. Your generosity will enable her to focus on her treatment and provide ease of the stress that comes when planning for her future after a major life changing surgery and recovery.
Please donate and share this campaign and keep Kuy in your thoughts. Every dollar donated and every share will help her on this extremely tough journey.
We thank you for your kindness and support :)
