Help Support Kurt’s End-of-Life Care and His Family

Our family is facing a heartbreaking reality. My father-in-law, Kurt, recently suffered major medical complications and against all odds miraculously survived. Unfortunately, his condition has reached a point where recovery is no longer possible. After a month in the hospital, my mother-in-law made the difficult decision to bring him home on hospice, so he can spend the rest of his time surrounded by love and in the comfort of his own home.

Kurt is not expected to be with us for much longer. We were not prepared for this moment, emotionally or financially. My mother-in-law has been by his side every step of the way, missing work for weeks to care for him in the hospital. Now, she faces the weight of lost wages, unexpected medical expenses, and upcoming end-of-life costs.

She has always been the kind of person to show up for others without hesitation—family, friends, and community alike. Now, I’m hoping we can rally together to show up for her in this time of unimaginable loss.
