Aloha, everyone! My name is Kulani Watson, born and raised in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii. I’m proud to be of Native Hawaiian and Maori descent, and many of you might know me from my comedic escapades on social media. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to coproduce Josh Tatofi's latest music video, "Who's That Girl," and now I'm ready to take on an even bigger adventure!

I'm raising funds to create a 10-15 minute short film—a cultural comedy entitled "Ami and Slide." This film follows a group of lovable Hawaiian misfits who have entered a hula competition to save their friend's restaurant from being bought out by the bank. The only thing is, they don't know the first thing about hula. Think of it as "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story" meets Hula.

Hawaii is a land rich in culture, laughter, and stories waiting to be told. Unfortunately, Hollywood often misses the mark, portraying our islands through the eyes of writers who haven't truly lived the Hawaii experience. I want to change that. I want to see Hawaii portrayed the way we locals see it—full of humor, heart, and a touch of madness!

To make "Ami and Slide" a reality, I need your support. This short film will be for Hawaii, by Hawaii, featuring local actors, a local director, and a whole lot of comedy. With your help, we can showcase our unique blend of culture and comedy to the world, and give our community something to be proud of.
