Due to Covid19, Chris is looking to restart teaching art in the Highland Park/ Northshore Chicago area community. He has identified studio space in Highland Park and is so very excited about what this opportunity will provide.
Chris Kuchta is a horror artist, art instructor and freelance illustrator hailing from Des Plaines, IL. He graduated from the American Academy of Art in 2000. In 2004, he originally opened the Kuchta Academy of Fine Art & Illustration in Lafayette, Indiana and has been teaching Academic Drawing and Painting as well as Digital Art and Graphic Design for 15 years.
Aside from teaching, Chris does freelance illustration and portrait painting work. His current projects include a series of monster painting and prints, concept illustration for film and animation, story-boarding and comics. You can usually find him at conventions exhibiting his vivid monster art.
Chris specializes in Oil Painting, Academic Drawing, Anime, Comics, Illustration and Digital Art. Chris provides a very valuable resource for student portfolio preparation. In addition to Academic preparation, Chris's classes are a great fit for those individuals looking to get into art professionally or just for fun. Chris has a class for anyone who is interested in learning art.
We are respectfully asking for help at this time because we have been directly impacted by the Covid19 Virus among many many others. We understand our obligation to fund this endevor ourselves but would appreciate any help that anyone can provide during this difficult time. If you are unable to donate, please share.
Please see our complete wish list below for the coverage of expenses associated with the opening of the Kuchta Academy of Fine Art & Illustration in Highland Park IL.
The money requested is needed for the following items:
Flat File $500
Total Funds Needed = $7,500
Your support would be greatly appreciated more than we can express. Your support will mean that Chris can focus on growing his studio and classes instead of constantly worrying about how to make ends meet especially in this Post-Covid19 world and the risk of opening any type of small business at this time.
We are hoping to move quickly on getting the classes and studio up and running.
We love the art community and the Highland Park IL area. We look forward to becoming a part of the Northshore art community.
