My name is Krysta, and I’m reaching out for support as I face one of the most challenging times in my life. On January 4th, 2026, I found a lump in my breast, and everything changed so quickly. I was diagnosed with invasive carcinoma breast cancer, and my treatment begins with chemotherapy this Friday, which will last for five months. After chemo, I’ll need to heal before undergoing a double mastectomy, and then, once I recover, I’ll have reconstructive surgery.

This diagnosis has turned my world upside down. I’m a mom to two wonderful boys, and I’ve always worked hard as a CNA while going to school for my nursing degree. Suddenly, I’ve had to put everything on hold. The pain from the lump makes it impossible to do my job, and the uncertainty of how I’ll provide for my family is overwhelming. To make things even harder, I recently had my gallbladder removed, and the surgery was complicated because it was so full of gallstones. Recovery hasn’t been easy, and now I’m facing even more medical challenges.

The financial strain is real. I worry every day about how I’ll pay the bills and keep food in the house for my boys.
