Support Kristy, Your Jackson Pharmacy Technician & Friend

Jackson Community, I want to introduce myself. I’m Kristy Jarnagin. Paul Springer and River Taylor are my family. I’ve lived in The Valley since 2007. I have served most of you at Albertson’s Pharmacy since 2017. I’m very thankful for my Pharmacy family, especially Bonnie.

Most know I have been really sick since October. My health has taken a turn and kept me from working. I have been traveling to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota trying to get better.

Before this started I was 220lbs. Now I am 112.

The surgery in January was supposed to fix it and it got worse from there. First, the TPN and then the blood infections.

I have been in ICU for 6 days in the last two months. I was here on Mother’s Day and I have spent 20 days in the hospital since Mother’s Day. My second septic in 2 months!

I haven’t been home in 3 weeks.

My blood pressure keeps dropping as low as 77/40 this last time, and they called the Doctor in because they were worried.

When I eat, it lingers and my chest hurts so bad that my episodes last anywhere from 1-4 hours of puking after. I started a TPN in March at 14 hours a day. And hydration 2 hours twice weekly and I went to work. I have had 4 balloon stretches. I have done this since March.

This is too much for anyone.

I know most of my community. Some I don’t know. But I do know I love my community. I open my heart up to most. And I have opened my door so often to strangers that Paul is not surprised any more what or who I drag home.

I know I have served most of you at my pharmacy. I have worked through the long lines. I have consoled many, cried with most, laughed with a lot, and, sadly, was abrupt with some (my apologies). I have had people wait just for me because they knew I could fix the problem. I have helped find savings on your meds with pride because I love my job and I love my community.

I know many have come into the pharmacy and asked how I’m doing and how can you help.

With a humble heart I’m reaching out to ask for help with medical bills, traveling expenses, and lost wages.

Anything you could give would be most appreciated.

If you can't give money, please, I worry about my boys. Most of you know me or Paul Springer and a lot know River Taylor, my son.

I want to thank Albertson’s Pharmacy for supporting me through this tough time. Especially Bonnie, my store manager. I’m very thankful for my second family members at the Pharmacy.
