At just 19 years old, Kristopher Mohamed was on the brink of achieving everything he had worked so hard for. He had just been accepted into the MBBS program at the University of the West Indies - one step closer to his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.

But in May 2025, life took a sudden and heartbreaking turn.

What began as weeks of strange and persistent symptoms - hives, migraines, night sweats, chest pain - led to an urgent hospital visit. Initially suspected to be pneumonia, Kristopher underwent a biopsy. Days later, he received the devastating diagnosis: Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Stage IV with bulky disease.

A cancer diagnosis is earth-shattering for anyone, but for a young man who’s tried his best to do everything right - who has given so much of himself to his community - it felt unreal.

Despite the fear, the exhaustion, and the overwhelming uncertainty, Kristopher has never stopped showing up. He continues to volunteer with the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago, supports his family, and even enrolled in online courses—all while processing a life-threatening illness.
