My name is Kristi. On April 27, 2024 I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I had an infection and my body attacked my nerves instead of the infection causing extensive nerve damage. I was paralyzed and my hands and feet numb. I have worked hard with physical therapy and occupational therapy and continue to. Unfortunately this has left me unable to work and our family is beginning to feel it. We have drained our savings and now are being forced to ask for help. I still require therapy every week and have gained some mobility back but still no feeling in my hands, feet, and legs. I have filed a claim for disability but was denied. I have appealed but it may take up to 2 years for a court date. I am begging for help for my family while I continue to heal. Any assistance will help and be greatly appreciated.
