Kristi first heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “tumor” over 8 years ago and has successfully battled 2 open craniotomies. However, during a routine scan, they determined that the tumors (meningiomas) have returned and are continuing to grow. In a few short days, she will undergo a third surgery with faith and hope that this will be the last time she, her husband, and her two babies have to worry about revisiting this portion of the journey.

Kristi loves to serve others, cares deeply about providing support and community for others around her, even if that means attempting to ensure that she is not a burden on anyone, will do without so that she can give to someone in need, and if she cannot give she prays her soul to emptiness to be an obedient servant to those in her care or even cross her path.

Kristi is a state employee in the school system. Her husband also devotes countless time and energy to volunteering with sports in the community in addition to his job in local government. If you know anything about NC, it is that pay for our local government employees is less than ideal and the insurance can sometimes be less than easy to work with as it isn’t what it once was. Kristi already pulls a part-time job (sometimes even 2) just to help make ends meet. During her tenure of recovery, she will be limited in what she can do.

We, her family, are asking that you join us in praying for Kristi through the time leading up to, the surgical team and staff guiding her to recovery, and for a full and complete healing after her surgery. If you are able and can find it in yourself to contribute to their community-driven family, it would be beyond appreciated.
