Kristín Baldursdóttir Romine, an Icelander living in the Chicago area, has been bravely battling cervical cancer for the past 4 1/2 years. Now facing end stage cancer, she and her family—Eric, Bryndís, Tristan, and Lexie—are navigating an incredibly difficult time, both emotionally and financially. Kristín’s strength and resilience have inspired everyone around her, but the challenges of ongoing treatments, hospital visits, and daily care have placed a heavy burden on her loved ones.

The funds raised through this campaign will help Kristín and her family cover mounting medical bills, daily living expenses, and future costs that are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. One of Kristín’s deepest wishes is to return to her beloved Iceland and be laid to rest there, surrounded by the beauty and peace of her homeland.
