Kristin and her family have always worked hard and supported each other through life’s challenges. Since the beginning of February 2026, they have faced a series of hardships, starting with the catastrophic failure of their primary mode of transportation. But nothing could have prepared them for the traumatic events of February 24, when their home was attacked by three individuals armed with a machine gun and other weapons. Over 57 shots were fired into their home, and Kristin’s youngest daughter was struck three times. The entire family is now dealing with the aftermath of this senseless violence, both physically and emotionally.

Kristin’s daughter, who was shot, is a dedicated young woman working two jobs while putting herself through college to become a nurse. The family’s immediate needs are overwhelming—medical bills, counseling, home repairs, and the ongoing costs of daily life have all become urgent concerns. Every member of the family is traumatized, and their sense of safety has been shattered.

Kristin is a long time employee of one of the big blue home improvement stores for many years she has spent being a dedicated employee.

I have been remodeling my house for longer than I would like to admit to you all and this is how I met Kristin. For quite a few years now we have had wonderful banter about the Seahawks and Mariners, her beloved Eagles club, plants, her family, my family and so much more. She is truly a wonderful friend and kind person that could use a hand to help her family turn a traumatic life altering situation into a joyful tale of community and joy overcoming hate. Gun violence shatters so many lives in our country no matter red state or blue. So let us rally as Americans!
