Support Kristina's Recovery and Teaching Dream

Hi there. My name is Kristina Luna. It's been since 2010 that I needed this total knee replacement surgery. And on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, it finally happened. I did not have much time to prepare myself financially because I really did not know if this was ever gonna happen for me.

I have been a hairdresser for 26 years, and 2 years ago, I became a beauty school instructor. I absolutely love teaching. Unfortunately, my job does not offer any benefits such as short-term disability. So, I decided to work as much overtime as I could. I worked 12 days of 8am - 10pm shifts that were available to me. That was not enough to cover my living expenses.

I have no support from any family members, and I have a handful of friends that are doing their best to help. I am going to have to be off work for 4-6 weeks, and I have already started physical therapy. I want to get healed so I can have a better life and do all the things I have not been able to do. The thing that means most to me are my students and being able to teach them my knowledge.

Unfortunately, if I can't make my rent or bills, I don't know what will become of my life, and that scares me. If anyone could please share this with the people you know, I would really appreciate it. Anything will help me. I did not want to reach out this way, but I am getting very worried.
