Hi, my name is Kristina Ramsey, and I am a survivor of domestic violence.

In January 2023, my (now ex) husband was arrested for physically abusing me. Sadly, that was only one of hundreds of times he had been violent throughout our relationship. At the time, our beautiful twins were just seven months old, and I knew I couldn’t allow them to grow up around abuse. I made the difficult decision to separate from him and, after months of emotional and legal battles, I filed for divorce.

In May 2025, our divorce was finally finalized. But even after the court’s decision, the harassment hasn’t stopped. My ex-husband has filed multiple appeals to try to overturn our divorce — all of which have been denied. He refuses to pay any child support and has now gone a step further by filing a civil lawsuit against me, my attorney, the judge, and even the police officers who arrested him.

He’s claiming that I lied about the abuse and conspired with others against him — which is completely false. These accusations are cruel, exhausting, and financially devastating.

I’m now a single mother of two, working part-time to provide a safe, stable home for my children. But this lawsuit is creating a tremendous financial burden that I simply cannot manage on my own. The legal fees to defend myself against these false claims are overwhelming, and every dollar I spend on this battle takes away from my children’s basic needs.
