Kristina, James, and baby Cecelia have already been through more than their share of challenges as a new family. After a difficult birth, little Cece fought for her life in the NICU for 12 days, where she was hooked up to machines and subjected to painful tests daily. The family was relieved when they were finally cleared to go home and put this rough start behind them, but beautiful Cece continued to struggle. She cried inconsolably and had trouble feeding or gaining weight. What was thought to be just colic for months has now been diagnosed as a rare genetic syndrome that can manifest many possible health issues in the long run.
Kristina and James have just been hit with a tidal wave as they process this new information and navigate an overwhelming number of appointments and medical tests, all while caring for a suffering baby who needs constant soothing and attention around the clock. Understandably, they are unable to focus on their jobs for the time being, and could use some financial support to help cover rent, groceries, and baby supplies as they continue to work with specialists to understand Cece's condition and do everything they can to help her survive and thrive in the long run.
While Kristina and James are deeply grateful of your donations, love, and support, they are requesting privacy for now to give them time to process and to assess whether sharing details about Cece's condition is in her best interest in the long run.
You can feel the love and struggle in the song Kristina wrote and recorded for Cece last month. She and James are putting their everything into taking care of their little survivor. Let's take care of them.
