Let's come together to support Kristin, Dan, and the girls!

Dear friends and family, 

As many of you know, my sister Kristin's house burned down several weeks ago. She, her husband Dan, and their three sweet girls got out safely in the middle of the night, thanks to a neighbor who saw flames coming from their home and called 911 before their smoke alarms even started going off. Their two hamsters and salamander were also saved, but their home was completely destroyed. They are of course devastated and overwhelmed, and are also very thankful to be alive, safe, and surrounded by wonderfully supportive community.

While this has been a time of immense stress and grief, we have also been completely blown away by the loving messages of care and concern, kind gestures, and offers to help coming from near and far. We have created this page to provide a place where loved ones can make a tangible gift to support Kristin and her family during the difficult days ahead. 

Kristin and Dan are still coming to terms with their losses and assessing how they will be able to meet their needs looking ahead. The road to rebuilding a sense of normalcy in their lives will be long, and we are seeing first hand the importance of every single gesture of support and care at such a tender time. Every gift made here will help provide direct support to pay for things like temporary housing, clothing and supplies, bills, and eventually replacing furniture and other household items.
