Hi, my name is Jen and I’m setting up this fundraiser for my dear friend, Kristin Bigler. We were college roommates at the University of Oregon, and she is one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met. She is an animal lover, and for many years she was the volunteer manager at the Oregon Humane Society. She is currently living in Waldport, OR, and working on projects to expand broadband internet access in rural communities.

Kristin suffered a heart attack on January 6, 2025. She learned that she had a previously undiagnosed congenital heart condition that will require bypass surgery, currently scheduled for January 15.

Kristin is currently the sole provider in her family and will have to take unpaid leave for the 6-8 weeks it will take to recover from open-heart surgery. That is why I am sharing this fundraiser, in the hopes that her friends will pitch in to help her family out with living and medical expenses during this difficult time.
