Hello, for those of you that don’t know me, my name is Kris. I have been struggling the past few years financially due to mental health issues, and most recently, rheumatoid arthritis issues that have caused me to be out of work quite often. As of right now, financially, I have a great future coming. I have a lot of great things that are about to happen, and I’m so excited. After being homeless for the past almost 3 months, I have been overwhelmed and beyond stressed out. Not only have I been completely alone on my journey due to having no emotional support, no emotional support from my family. I am now navigating this journey with God. I’ve trusted God completely, and he is bringing me down the right path. The one major issue I am having right now is everything decided to come down on me at one time. My car needs to be fixed (bad wheel bearing, $250 quote), moving and truck rental ($100), and I owe $116 on each of the two storage units with Prestige Storage. I am desperate to get the storage units open so I can get all of our belongings, such as my son’s clothes, an air conditioning unit, and my bed. I have been sleeping on the floor at our new home as I gave my son the cot to use. I am desperate to get in there because I have to get a hard copy of my birth certificate and Social Security card. If I don’t have these items by tomorrow, Friday, July 24th, I will not get hired into this job that I need and want badly. PLEASE HELP.
honestly I will eventually get to everything else. I just need to have those store and locks open, otherwise I will completely lose this job opportunity. That right now is my biggest concern.

I am currently working two side jobs, but it definitely does not bring in enough money after I buy basic needs.

I would be willing to pay back any money as I do expect a decent check within the next 2 to 3 weeks, plus back to work full time. Bad timing with money coming in.

Since I left my last apartment that was making me extremely violently sick (1123 Sanford), I am planning on legal action against the landlord due to how sick that home made me. He refused to fix anything. I have been feeling so much better except for a couple of rheumatoid arthritis flare-ups due to stress and overdoing it, along with shingles. I’m just getting over that and in the middle of an RA flare-up currently, the worst one I have ever had. It’s a hard life I live, but I just keep on going. I truly do not know how or why I’m still alive.
Unfortunately, I just need help from time to time, not for long though.
I do plan on having a nice little open house with food, drinks, and cake for everybody that has helped me along the way the past 2 years. Everybody that helps me here will also be invited to receive my gratitude.

How embarrassing is it to beg for money? I really wish people understood more about how I got to this point in my life. Once I get my home settled, I’m going to be out in this county paying it forward.
If you have any questions, please feel free to get a hold of me.
My heart can’t take much more pain. I’m not sure how many times I can get knocked down and get back up again. I’m running out of energy and the will to live.
Please consider donating any amount. Every cent helps. Thank you in advance, and God bless every single one of you whether you’re in a position to donate or not.
And don’t forget, I’m out there still doing side jobs, everything from housesitting to yard work, pet sitting, childcare, and so much more.
Sincerely,
Kristie Melcher
