Have you ever tried to be the Good Samaritan, only to have it blow up in your face? I’m Kristie, and me and my little girl, La Reina went through exactly that while trying to help a friend in need.
A close friend of mine found himself displaced and couldn’t care for his 2 year old American bulldog Dixie. His mother tried to help but, Dixie had a rough upbringing, and was not accustomed to sharing attention with other dogs. Needless to say, that home wasn’t a fit.
I tried to find another foster for Dixie, to no avail, so I decided on the next best thing. Dixie would come stay with me, my 2 dogs La Reina and Panda. I’ll spare you the bloody details but the short story is, Dixie attacked my baby Reina and I did what any loving mother would do, I jumped in and saved my baby. But in the process I was bit by Dixie’s unrelenting grip. 20 stitches later, I’m still in the hospital. Between medical bills and veterinary bills there isn’t enough time in the day to scrounge up the rent. Plus I’m bed ridden and the well is running dry. Any little bit will help, if anything to get my babies fed. Pray for our speedy recoveries.
