Support Kristie and Jerome Johnson in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
For those of you who know Kristie (and Jerome Johnson) you know that she is the most selfless, genuine, biggest-hearted person there is—spreading joy and warmth through her countless acts of kindness, and leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who are fortunate enough to know her.
She is always SO helpful and SO giving.
Now is the time for us to hopefully give back and help with the financial toll that this is having on Kristie and Jerome.
No amount is too small. Anything will help as we look to raise these funds to help with medical expenses, along with pending funeral expenses.

Kristie’s story is below:

(Remember to hug your loved ones and tell them how much you love them. Things truly can change in the blink of an eye.)

About 17 years ago, Kristie kicked breast cancer's butt; and 15 years ago, again turned around and kicked colon cancer to the curb... so we thought...

A few short weeks ago, Kristie started having severe pain in her stomach and back. After multiple ER visits, Kristie received the test results that showed a tumor on the bottom of her spine and a large mass on her colon where she had previously had colon cancer. After a few additional tests, the doctors shared there were 2 other spots on her spine and that the mass had spread. Not at all the news we wanted to hear, but we were hopeful there would be light at the end of the tunnel of this newfound battle. She's beat this nasty disease twice, so she’ll do it again... right!?
Kristie had a procedure to “burn” the large spot on her spine which ultimately was to stunt the growth. After that procedure, Kristie was feeling some relief of pain and was sent home. She had to recover from this procedure while the doctors reviewed what the next plan of attack was for the mass on her colon.
While at home for only a few days, Kristie took a tumble due to dehydration... she was extremely weak. This tumble ended her back in the hospital and little did we know this stay was permanent and would change our lives forever. The cancer was ultimately eating at Kristie’s bones, and she was too weak for the doctors to put her through chemo... or anything else. Kristie was put on comfort care so she would be somewhat free of pain for what would be her last days with us.
