Support Kristie and Her Boys Continue Their Healing Journey
Donation protected
Kristie Fultz (Park) is a widowed mother of two adorable boys, little Daniel and Knox. Kristie lost her husband Daniel suddenly from heart complications in their home while Kristie and her youngest son, Knox, were home with him. The journey that has pursued from this tragic suddent death has been nothing short of difficult for both Kristie, the boys and all of us who loved Daniel dearly.
Following Daniel's sudden death, Kristie received an outpouring of love and support from family and friends and was able to spend the next several months home with her boys while grieving and picking up the pieces. Kristie eventually returned to work but had not yet dealt with the severity of how this tregedy really effected her mentally, physically and emotionally. She was in auto pilot, living each hour of each day to protect her boys and learn how to keep going.
1 year ago Kristie was unfortunately laid off because she was not able to meet the hour requirements at work due to her now being solely responsible to care for the boys, home and getting the medcal/therpeutic treatment needed. Kristie was then diagnosed with PTSD which includes severe paralyzing depression. Her therapists stressed the importance of having adequate time to heal her PTSD because she is doing this while being a full time mom (sleep deprivation being a huge factor in this). Kristie is currently getting the medical treatment necessary to start healing the PTSD and depression but unfortunately, unemployment benefits have run out. We can all attest to the ridiculous costs that flood our lives day to day. Now Kristie is trying to navigate this healing process while the overwhelming weight of providing is getting heavier.
Kristie is working hard on her healing and feels very hopeful that she will be able to get back on her feet soon and start a new chapter. In the mean time, the cost of living is a huge hurdle that just seems too big to jump over in this moment. Without her job, she is now responsible for her medical coverage which is extrememly costly and does not cover the treatments she is getting for her PTSD. This is a huge expense for her on top of the day to day costs of life (rent, car, bills, food, etc) and day care for the boys so that she can attend her medical appointments, take care fo the home and get the rest that is absolutely required for her healing.
As Kristie's exended family members, we are reaching out to our friends and communities asking if you would rally with us to give Krisite the support and push she needs to get over this financial hurdle that stands between her and the next level of healing. She is eager to get back to doing what she loves for work and providing for herself and the boys. She can't do this without the proper healing.
Kristie has always been the biggest cheerleader for her friends and family and has never been the one to ask for help. It is her turn to be cheered on. She is so incredibly strong and the love she has for her 2 boys is the most beautiful thing. They have been her motivation each day and have been her saving grace through this tragedy. Let's come together and get Kristie back on her feet so she can continue to heal.
