If you attended a Dickinson Baseball game during the years of 2016 to 2018 you know Kristi White by her enthusiastic, energetic and crowd lifting cheers. This super-mom that will do anything for her family and loved ones, is now in need of our help.
I met the White Family when they moved to Dickinson and son Sammy England began playing baseball for the Dickinson Roughriders team I was coaching. This kid blew me away. He is deeply talented, seriously hard-working and has the heart of gold, just like his mom. Her excitement for the team and cheers would carry the crowd game after game. She gives it all for her family, but now her and her family could use the cheers and support in return. In Fall of 2019 Kristi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. In June of 2020 she told her family of her diagnosis as her symptoms became more obvious with increased fainting spells and exhaustion, yet she still continues to work at Lincoln Elementary as a Para. Today her diagnosis is Stage 4 Metastatic Ovarian Cancer that has now spread to both kidneys, her liver, and her spleen. On top of the emotional devastation of a cancer diagnosis, ongoing treatments and keeping up with her day-to-day "mom responsibilities" (all during the COVID pandemic), her husband, Harold, was injured and has been unable to work since his shoulder surgery in late 2020. To make matters even more challenging, the family has been dealing with recent heartbreak from the loss of Kristi's father due to COVID in December 2020. The living expenses and medical bills are mounting, and the White Family could use your help during this time. They currently have 4 of their 6 children living at home and Kristi is still the super mom she has always been - doing her best to ensure her family doesn't notice a difference. Please keep Kristi and the entire White Family in your prayers as she begins new phases of treatments in the coming weeks.
