Support Kristy and Minh's Nail Salon Recovery
Donation protected
Pro Nails owners Kristy and Minh are well-known in Yancey County. Most consider them personal friends and a beloved part of our community family.
Normally, Pro Nails is open six days a week. Sundays, the Chiem family delivers snacks to the residents of the local nursing home after church.
Hurricane Helene forced Pro Nails to close temporarily, but that did not deter Kristi, Mihn, and their son, Henry, from helping the community they love.
Mihn was one of the first to reach out after the hurricane with a message that he was trying to find infant formula for the neighbor's baby and a 'what do YOU need?' text.
Just yesterday, Kristy was offering hot tea and coffee to the volunteers because 'they are so cold' and sorting clothes. Today, when we hugged, she admitted she was tired because she had volunteered until 7:30 the night before, but there she was, helping me load my car with supplies to distribute.
Pro Nails has re-opened, but pedicures or nails are not in high demand. Until then, any donation to 'keep the lights on' is humbly appreciated.
