Kristen is a wife and mother of 4 children. She worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital where she was strangled by a patient which exasperated her symptoms in her neck causing her to no longer be able to turn her head and neck to the left. This also left her a without a job before they closed their door, causing her to no longer be able to work; losing short term insurance, long term insurance, and critical illness. WE ARE BEING EVICTED IN TWO DAYS!! She is facing brain and neck surgery coming up in the near future; receives injections in her neck to help with pain and the medicine costs are beginning to be too much. She is in physical therapy and after surgery she will be in a neck collar for 6 months and then extensive physical therapy for the following 6 months. With the mounting list of medical issues she is faced with, she can no longer work and is receiving no assistance from the government.
She has doctor visits several times per week and the amount of medication she is now on has become extremely costly. Kristen recently wrecked her car due to the fact that she couldn’t turn her head properly now making it not safe to drive. Some of her symptoms include constant falling due to poor gait, frequent nose bleeds, numbness and tingling in her limbs making it difficult to walk or stand, and can’t sleep in a bed. She fights constant migraines and poor vision making it hard to see and focus for long periods of time. She is lucky to sleep 1-2 hours per night due to constant pain and discomfort. On top of the list of mounting issues, she recently had a mild stroke while in a CT scan. She has short term memory loss and struggles to remember even the most simple conversations and tasks.
Kristen is also a proud member of the Teamster Horsemen Motorcycle Assoc 41E. She donates to children’s hospitals, is involved in charity runs. The organization was formed with the intent to be NON-POLITICAL and focus their energy on UNITY and the purpose of (1) helping brothers and sisters within the teamster union (2) helping charities especially children's charities (3) riding together as a family organization and watching each other's back. She volunteers in the community for local bike runs and events to help raise money for those in need: whatever that need may be.
