My name is Kristen Ash. I am 28 years old, starting my career, and getting married this year. Throughout my life, I have had health problems that have affected me with intense pain. When I am able to control one symptom, another symptom presents itself.
In November of 2024, I had intense stomach pain, so much so that I pleaded to go to the hospital. In the ER, I screamed for the doctors to give me anything to stop the pain. They gave me painkillers and completed tests. The tests concluded that nothing was wrong, but that I should see a gastroenterologist. Between November of 2024 to November of 2025, I had five other episodes of this stomach pain. I couldn't do anything about it and let the pain go away on its own. I decided to go to the gastroenterologist, and they suspected that it could have been my gallbladder.
At the end of 2025, I completed blood work, an ultrasound, and other tests to identify the root cause of my affliction. After the blood work, ultrasound, and other tests came back, my gallbladder had gallstones. However, before I get the surgery, I need to complete one more test, an endoscope.
I do not usually ask for help concerning my health problems. However, I am currently paying off my student debt, paying off the ER visit still, paying off the costs for the completed tests, and as noted, saving up for my wedding. My fiancé and I cannot afford the surgery in combination with the endoscope during this time. This new health problem has afflicted my life with intense pain, that I cannot breathe, I am fatigued after the pain, and cannot eat anything. Currently, I am playing Russian Roulette with my food every day I eat. Will this set my stomach off? If so, will I be able to go to work after this ordeal?
I am asking my family and friends to help me with this portion of my life. I am asking $10,500 for the endoscope, the surgery, and the recovery time. Because of my wedding, I will not have any more PTO, and my recovery time will be without pay. And I cannot afford not having an income during this time in my life. Any portion will help me and I will be greatly appreciative. If you can not financially give I ask for prayers that the Lord will help me with this journey.
