Kristen's mom was rushed to the hospital on December 19th, 2025 when she was discovered to be unresponsive.

Her mother had a hemorrhagic stroke, the MRI said she's had multiple miniature strokes and she was left in a temporary coma. She currently has a trach and peg (is on a ventilator and a feeding bag attached to her) she is also suffering from hyper tension/high blood pressure.

They say her stroke affected the part of the brain that may affect her speech, understanding of language, and has made her bedridden. They say she may not be able to move one side of her body.

She's shown signs of improvement. She's become more lucid in her moments of awareness and has shown understanding as she smiles when Kristen speaks to her and caresses her mother's hand. "She'd normally laugh and smiles, she's started moving her dominant arm more while the other area is stuck in a stiff posturing position and just shakes when she's more alert like she's wanting to move it but doesn't have the control yet," Kristen says. Kristen remains hopeful of her mother's health and is not going to give up.
