Help Kristen Fight for Her Life After Acute Liver Failure & Transplant
Seventeen years ago, I met the woman who would become my fiancée — my partner, my best friend, my home. Kristen is kind, deeply empathetic, and has always been someone who shows up for others, often putting their needs before her own.
She has spent her career helping save lives in the cath lab, caring for patients during some of the most critical moments they will ever face.
Today, she is the one fighting for her life.
Since November 30, our world has been turned upside down. What began as acute liver failure quickly spiraled into a medical crisis we never could have imagined. There were moments when we didn’t know if she would survive long enough to receive a transplant. Every day was an emotional rollercoaster — hope, fear, setbacks, and prayers — all while watching the person I love endure unimaginable suffering.
Kristen has now received a life-saving liver transplant, but her journey is far from over.
She remains in the ICU, facing serious complications including:
• Kidney failure
• Sepsis
• Severe hepatic encephalopathy
• A prolonged and complex critical-care recovery
Recovery from a transplant after such an acute illness is not quick or predictable. It is measured in months, not weeks, and there are still many unknowns ahead.
How Your Support Helps
100% of funds raised will go directly to Kristen and her recovery.
Donations will help cover:
• Lost income while she is unable to work
• Overwhelming medical bills and ICU costs
• Medications and ongoing post-transplant care
• Transportation, gas, and parking for frequent hospital visits
• Necessary rehabilitation and follow-up appointments
Kristen dedicated her career to caring for others. Right now, she needs the space and support to focus solely on healing.
Why This Matters
Kristen has helped save countless lives in the cath lab with skill, compassion, and empathy. Now, she needs that same compassion returned to her.
If you are able to donate, any amount truly helps. If you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser, keeping Kristen in your thoughts, or offering prayers means more than you know.
Thank you for standing with Kristen during the hardest fight of her life.
With gratitude and hope,
Alex
