Support Kristen Haskell After Mike Haskell's Passing
Donation protected
This is very hard to write and it took a lot for our mom to accept our offer to make a Go FundMe. Our dad, Mike Haskell, just passed away. He will be missed by so many.
Mike had been in and out of the hospital since early August with many mental and physical health problems. One of the major issues he was experiencing was very low blood pressure that would drop and he would black out, faint and hit the ground. On November 9th, had a very serious fall. He was taken to Banner Hospital Level 1 Trauma with 7 broken ribs, his back broken in three places, a hematoma on his kidney, and, many other injuries. He then developed sepsis, a UTI and had other issues. He spent three weeks in Banner (trauma) before going to a skilled nursing facility (for a day), to be taken to TMC for blood transfusion and emergency back surgery over Thanksgiving weekend. After that he went to Encompass Rehab for physical therapy, but ended up back to TMC because of numerous infections, developing CDiff and two additional blood transfusions. He went back to Encompass then ultimately back to TMC again with what they believe could have been neuro encephalopathy.
All this to say it was a very long road with many challenges, doctors who didn’t have answers and many moves from hospital to hospital. Mike was tired and once arriving at Pepi’s House/Hospice, he was finally at peace.
This has taken a large financial toll on our mom, Kristen, as our dad was the main financial provider in their household. The medical bills will be enormous. It took a lot for her to agree to let us start this GoFundMe, but we just want to ensure that she can stand on her feet while she takes everything day by day. Shes still grieving the loss of her dad, Clip, who passed away in September in the midst of all of this health battle with Mike. Any donation would be such a blessing to help Kristen with the medical and funeral expenses because the stress and worry is taking a toll on her. Prayers are also very much appreciated during this time
