I'm reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Kristal, who is facing an incredibly challenging battle with a debilitating and progressive autoimmune disease called **Seronegative Spondyloarthropathy**. This disease has caused extensive damage to her joints and tissues, and unfortunately, the condition is rapidly worsening, making it harder for her to continue working and maintaining her daily life.

Kristal has begun the long and difficult process of applying for disability, but the Social Security Administration (SSA) has informed her that it could take at least **six months** to process her application. During this time, she will not be receiving any financial assistance, and the severity of her condition is making it increasingly difficult for her to work and care for herself.

As she battles this disease, Kristal is facing the need for multiple surgeries to help improve her quality of life. She has already experienced severe pain, joint damage, and ongoing inflammation due to bone spurs, tendon damage, bursitis, and other complications from the disease. Unfortunately, her medical costs are quickly piling up, and the expenses are becoming unmanageable.

To date, Kristal has already had several urgent orthopedic and hospital visits to treat symptoms like bursitis, bone spurs, and tendon damage. Most recently, an ultrasound revealed that **17 out of 28 joints** show signs of synovitis and hyperemia, further confirming the seriousness of her condition.

Kristal’s diagnosis, which has taken years to confirm, affects not only her joints but also her tendons, cartilage, and synovial lining—leading to constant pain and a gradual loss of function. The toll on her mental and emotional well-being has also been overwhelming, as she can no longer do many of the things she once loved, like cooking, working, and enjoying a full, active life.
