Support Krista Backus-Bradley's Heart Surgery

My name is krista backus-Bradley , my husband is luke Bradley and we have been married for 18 years! We have 4 kids, Kinsey, Nicolas, Lily, and Jacob! We just had our first grandbaby, Ellis!

Recently I had to stay at Luthern hospital in ft wayne for 8 days because I have congestive heart failure and I had influenza a, pnemonia, and cvm virus. Then a few days in I had a pretty bad seizure. Then I was informed left side of my heart is starting to not work so in order to live alot longer I need to have an implant called an LVAD implanted on my heart! If I do not, I may make it at the most 3 years and they say it will be painful and on oxygen! Then after the surgery I may have to be in hospital for up to 2 months for rehab and getting blood right etc.

Our 2 youngest kids are still at home. Lily will be graduating this year, 2025! Jacob is only a sophomore and is only 16! The part that's killing me is that I will most likely miss lily, Jacob and tatum getting ready for prom and after lily has worked her butt off, I may miss her graduation!

I do have Insurance but we are really worried about going down to 1 income and still. Being able to make sure Bill's, things kids need, and just everyday expenses are able to be met! When i get out of hospital , i will ha e to go to ft wayne 2 to 3 times a week to be closely monitored.

I will say , I do not like having to ask for help but we are realizing that this situation is so scary and money is gonna to be extremely tight! We wanna make sure kids ha e e everything thing they need! And if the implant for some reason does not work, I have to go on the heart transplant waiting list! I'm only 45 years old ! This is breaking my husband and my kids hearts! Not to mention, our kids are absolutely amazing! They never ask for anything and would do anything for luke and i!

Luke is going to have to be working the whole time as well because we will need the money, I think he is only take off the day of my surgery , we cant afford for him to be off!
