My dear friend and coworker, Kris Guess Sharp, was in a pretty severe car accident on the evening of December 27th. She totaled her vehicle and suffered serious injuries, including a broken sternum, a fractured vertebrae, and a broken ankle. Kris was hospitalized in Marshall, then moved to Beacon on Gull Road, and eventually taken to U of M for a six-hour surgery on her spine. By God's grace and protection, as a healer for the Divine, she is doing okay and showing signs of a full recovery, but she has a long road ahead.
Kris works as a massage therapist at Zen Salon and Spa in Portage, Michigan, but she will be unable to return to work for quite a while. She now has a lot more hardware in her spine, but her strength and fighting spirit are truly remarkable. If you know Kris, you already know she is one of the strongest women in the world and a true fighter. While she focuses on healing, Kris will need some income to cover her medical bills and living expenses, especially since she does not have medical insurance and her husband is retired. Your support will allow her to concentrate fully on her recovery without the added stress of financial worries.
As you reflect and let go of 2025, please keep Kris in your thoughts and prayers. If you are capable and able, please consider helping my friend during this challenging time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference and help Kris get back on her feet.
