Book Distribution Van for Gopi and Tulasyananda

Hi! We are Gopi Jivana Dasa (Petrus) and Tulasyananda Devi Dasi (Tiana). We currently live in a temple in Florida. We recently received the amazing news that we can start a new adventure and chapter of our lives, dedicating all of our time to distributing transcendental Vedic literature. This activity or "service" is what I (Gopi) have been doing for the last 14 years of my life. But my wife has also become more and more eager to dedicate herself to this service. And our temple leaders very graciously accepted our request and are encouraging us to dive right in. The only problem is that it is going to be a bit tough in our 2001 Toyota Corolla. We want to distribute a lot of books, so a slight vehicle upgrade is necessary.

We like to live frugally and practically, however, so we are not aiming for a big and expensive Mercedes transit van, or something similar, like many other book distribution parties. We are simply looking at something like a 2008 Toyota Sienna with relatively low miles. They are selling on Facebook Marketplace for 4000 to 6000 USD. Not that much at all! But even after selling our current vehicle we would still be a few thousand off the mark. This is especially so since we have recently incurred some very high expenses and we do not have any savings whatsoever. Over the last three years we have been fulltime temple residents, doing service at the temple and not really having much in the way of our own funds or savings.

If you feel inspired to help, we will feel eternally grateful. Any amount, great or small, will get us closer to our book-carrying chariot! In the meantime, we will start distributing books from our 2001 Corolla and also work hard to build up our funds.

We have added some photos for those who would like to see our current vehicle, the next vehicle we aim to get, as well as some pictures of us distributing books. Last summer we could take a break from our regular temple services and we distributed books for one and a half months straight all across North America. Thousands of books went out! It was our first time distributing books in America over a sustained period. We are so happy that we can now, once again, jump back into the service, now on an even more permanent basis.
