Please support Kris Taylor

Hi, my name is Vee Vee Vick, and I started this fundraiser in hopes to help out a sweet friend with any medical bills and living expenses while she focuses on her long road of recovery.

For those of you that don't know Kris, she is a friend to everyone, always offering a hand, up for a good laugh, a hard-working single mom, and loves both of her daughters more than anything.

In January, Kris was severely attacked by a dog that she knew and loved. She and her family are not sure what triggered the dog to react this way. She suffered severe, life-threatening injuries. Had her boyfriend not arrived when he did and helped Kris, then she may not have survived. The ambulance took her to the nearest hospital, and she was life flighted to UNC Hospital and was taken to emergency surgery. The surgeons did a wash out of the wounds and gave her meds to help prevent infections. They did a 2nd surgery that Sunday. Kris is very lucky to be alive. She is now staying at a rehab facility with UNC healthcare systems. She has PT 3 hours a day to basically learn to move her right hand/fingers again and work on walking. She's having a hard time walking but is getting stronger every day.

She is not sure when she will be able to get back to work or cleared to drive. Kris is hoping sometime in March/April she will be able to do a few hours a day of work and gradually build up from there. Her paid leave time with work will end soon. We are so thankful that God spared her life that night and that she is alive and can be here for her daughters. When she is allowed to go home, she will have home healthcare helping out. Kris has a long road of recovery ahead of her and could use all of our prayers and any help with financial responsibilities.

I am hoping we can raise money to help her pay for monthly health insurance bills, living expenses, the many extra medical bills she will receive going forward, help with meals and taking care of the girls.
