Support KORU Multicultural & Diverse Library

We are grateful for all of the support we have received thus far!

The opportunity to meet more of the community at the Tucson Meet Yourself folklife festival was informative and appreciated. Opportunities such as local festivals bring us closer to the community and to understanding community needs and our role within them.

Koru has a booth at the 2023 Tucson Festival of Books. This will be a great way to meet and work with those interested in our mission and to share our mission with those who do not yet know about us. Check them out at

We are raising funds to continue hosting mindful and diverse gatherings and to help with related patrons/students acquisition costs in our first year at the new location in Tucson's Historic Y.

Help us spread the word: Open your mind, open your heart.

Thank you for your generosity and support of our education, arts, and culture.

Koru Multicultural and Diverse Library is a nonprofit, lending library. It is a space for sharing and learning about others and ourselves and how we all coexist in the world around us. KORU helps promote literacy, mindfulness, and social and emotional learning (SEL) while introducing and supporting multicultural awareness and providing essential services in the community.

> We are extremely appreciative of any amount, and/or any item(s), you can donate toward the opening and operations of KORU.

The Impact:

Your donations will ensure that everyone will continue to benefit from the quality instruction, enrichment, engagement, and support offered by Koru.

With a focus on multiculturalism, diversity, art, communication, mindfulness, social-emotional awareness, and critical-thinking skills, learners are helped with reading and writing using a communicative approach.

We provide a safe space for learners, those curious about the world around them. Anyone who needs help can come and receive it or be helped in attaining it.

KORU provides small classes for reading, writing, and language tutoring, afterschool activities and events, and diverse illustrated and chapter books for youngsters and grown-ups alike.

Other Ways You Can Help:

* Please spread the word about this campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and E-mail to help us gain the momentum needed to fund this project!

* If you cannot contribute financially, KORU would appreciate any books, products, or services you have to offer. We seek to have a vast array of diverse/multicultural picture books and chapter books, primers/readers for beginning learners, and books for adults that offer unique insights and views on the world. Any and all books, in any and all languages, are welcome.
