Hello, this is probably the hardest thing I have ever done outside of watching my best friend, wife, and soulmate go through everything she has this year. I have never asked for help before because I have always felt I can handle anything thrown my way. Well, after talking with a close friend and him reassuring me everyone needs help sometimes, I decided he was right.

So, as some may know, my wife Kori went into the hospital on the 2nd with a bad headache. After sitting in the ER for 18 hours with no answers, she was diagnosed with an infection in the brain. They started treating her for that, and that night she had a stroke! Of course, I was up for 30 hours at that point, so I went home to get some sleep. When I came back to the hospital, I found the love of my life confused, soaking wet, slurring her speech, and unable to see or walk without help. The nurse gave her morning meds and left her with the cup of water that she spilled on herself! She thought she had an accident. The nurses left her sleeping in a chair beside her bed but said they checked on her. If they would have checked on her, they would have noticed she was not able to hold a conversation, walk, see straight, or anything! I could have lost my best friend that night and all because I was exhausted and put my faith in the hospital's hands.

So, since that night, I have not left her side for anything, but in return, I have missed work, travel expenses, and medical bills. I can't imagine what they will be after 2 weeks, three hospitals, two transportation, and countless CT scans, CAT scans, MRI, MRA, ultrasound of kidney, liver, heart, bloodwork out the wazoo. I am just trying to stay afloat. I would never ask for help and have always tried to help, so if you can, awesome, but if you can't, please don't. I understand. Just pray for Kori to make a full recovery and stay healthy going forward!
