In less than a week's time, Kori went from getting a routine chest X-ray for a lingering cough to receiving the tragic news that she has colon cancer that has metastasized to her lungs. For anyone lucky enough to know Kori, this diagnosis not only breaks your heart, but it defies logic. Our sweet Kori is only 39 years old. She is truly pure in every sense of the word. A loving mom, wife, daughter, and sister. Her world revolves around her family. She is an adored teacher who has touched more little lives over the years than we could count. She's the girl who would help any person or animal without so much as a second thought. Our little old soul, who was born to nurture and would put everyone's needs above her own. The world would be a better place with more people like Kori in it, and we will do anything we can to keep her in ours.

As a family, we are holding on to hope and expecting a miracle for our girl. We have found her the best care we can find, and she is ready to fight.
