Support Korie-Ann & Kaimana Merrill — Giving Back to Two Incredible Neighbors

Korie-Ann and Kaimana Merrill’s home on Haona Street was heavily flooded, leaving them with significant losses and a long road to recovery. But even while dealing with the damage to their own home, they immediately stepped up to help everyone around them.

From the very beginning, Korie-Ann and Kaimana played a major leadership role in coordinating the neighborhood’s recovery. They helped bring neighbors together, organized the immediate cleanup efforts, and worked to identify who needed help first. When things felt overwhelming and uncertain, they helped create direction and momentum so the community could begin moving forward.

They brought their own machines, tools, and resources to help clear debris and start the cleanup process. Their home quickly became a hub for the neighborhood — a place where people gathered, shared updates, coordinated help, and supported one another. They spent countless hours helping others, all while navigating the losses and damage at their own home.

Korie-Ann and Kaimana were very hesitant about allowing us to set up a GoFundMe. Like always, their focus has been on helping everyone else, not themselves. But as a community, we truly feel they deserve the love, support, and recognition for everything they’ve done during this incredibly difficult time.

This GoFundMe will help support Korie-Ann and Kaimana as they recover from the flooding. Funds will go toward:

• Losses and damage to their home and property

• Equipment and resources used during recovery efforts

• Cleanup and rebuilding costs

• Time off work spent helping the neighborhood and managing their own recovery

Korie-Ann and Kaimana showed up for the community when it mattered most. Their leadership, generosity, and aloha spirit made a huge difference for so many families on Haona Street.
