Support Korey and Kassy After Kevin's Passing
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
For those who don't know on July 29th Kevin was on vacation in his happy place, Florida, when he suffered a major heart attack. He was brought to a local hospital where they performed life saving measures and were able to stabilize him. He underwent many procedures and surgeries fighting the best that he could through each one continuously surprising his care team and defying the odds. However, the heart attack and shock left him in significant heart failure.
Unfortunately after 48 days in the Advanced Cardiac Surgical ICU we lost a truly incredible man. Kevin passed away peacefully with the two people that meant the most to him by his side, his children Korey and Kassy, as well as myself. While it wasn't one of Kevin's wishes to have a funeral, Korey and Kassy could really use all of our help covering cremation costs as well as bills they acquired to travel out of state to support their dad.
Kevin was an amazing man who we will all remember for his kindness and sense of humor. Something that I appreciate is a saying that he instilled in all of us. He always said, "it's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." With that being said, even on some of his toughest days in the ICU he was always appreciative of the amazing team of nurses, doctors, and therapists who did everything they could to give him another chance. Our donations will also allow Korey and Kassy to make a donation in Kevin's honor to Advent Health Orlando Hospital as it exceeded all expectations and the staff truly went above and beyond from his first to his last day on the unit.
Thank you all for your support during a tragic time. We know there were so many people that got to know Kevin and be loved by him. Luckily he did an incredible job helping to raise Kor and Kass and a piece of him will continue to live on through each of them. They do ask for privacy as they grieve this unimaginable loss, but truly appreciate all of the love and support they have and will continue to receive.
Thank you,
