Kolten is my 13-year-old nephew, and he is truly the sweetest, most caring young man you could ever meet. His life is full of love, laughter, and kindness, and he brings so much joy to everyone around him. Yesterday, our world changed when Kolten was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He started chemotherapy right away, and we are now facing at least two months in the children’s hospital, far from home. This diagnosis is especially heartbreaking for our family, as we lost Kolten’s Uncle Nick to the same cancer ten years ago. It’s hard to believe that Kolton, so young and full of life, is now fighting this battle.

Kolten’s parents, my brother and sister-in-law, will not be able to work during this time, as the hospital is 2.5 hours from home and they need to be by his side. The financial strain is overwhelming—travel, lodging, food, and medical bills are adding up quickly. Cancer is expensive, and the uncertainty of the coming months makes it even harder.
