Hi, my name is Koi, and I’m an 11-year-old snowboarder with big dreams.
I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing support I received last season.
At the 2025 USASA Nationals, I achieved:
Gold in Snowboard Cross (SBX)
Bronze in Slalom
Bronze in Rail Jam
Named 2025 Overall National Champion
These accomplishments truly wouldn’t have been possible without your support — thank you from the bottom of my heart!
My Journey So Far
Snowboarding has been my passion ever since my mom first introduced me to snow as a toddler in Michigan. I began riding more seriously at age 7, and by 8, I was already competing in regional and national events.
Although I qualified for the USASA National Championships every year, it took years of hard work, determination, and support to finally reach the podium. In 2025, I earned my first medals across multiple disciplines—and became the Overall National Champion!
What’s Next?
My dream is to join the National Snowboard Team in the next few years.
I’m now raising funds for the 2026 season, which includes another winter of training, travel, and competition.
Exciting updates for this coming season:
• I’ve received another scholarship for the 2025–2026 season with the Vail Snowboard Team in Colorado.
• My 7-year-old brother Maru, who’s passionate about snowboarding and has been following me and my teammates like his big brothers on the snow, also earned a scholarship after coaches recognized his potential.
• Both Maru and I were selected to be riders for PSJ, Japan’s largest kids’ snowboarding community.
• I’m honored to have been lent demo boards by GRAY Snowboard Company, a leading Japanese snowboard manufacturer.
• I’m also incredibly grateful to have signed a brand partnership with Pocari Sweat USA.
• WEND Wax Works is generously supporting me with snowboard wax.
• Also huge thanks to Planechor for providing me with apparel support.
Why I Need Your Help
Even with scholarships and sponsor support, the total additional cost for the season will be over $15,000, which includes:
️ 5 months of apartment rental in Colorado ($10,000+)
Competition registration fees ($2,580+)
Gear (boots, protectors, outerwear, accessories) ($1,000+)
Travel to events ($2,200+)
Season passes and other expenses ($1,250+)
How You Can Support
Your donation will go directly toward my training, travel, and competitions, and bring me one step closer to my next goal—earning a spot on the National Team.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported me last season.
Let’s keep pushing forward together in 2026!
With gratitude,
Koi
