Support the Kohler Family
Donation protected
On October 11, Dan Kohler suffered a massive brain bleed and underwent emergency brain surgery. Sadly, his condition has not improved. He is currently on life support and remains unresponsive, as we gather our family to say final goodbyes.
Dan was our family's caregiver, chief financial officer, moral compass, cheerleader, teacher, chauffeur, head chef, spiritual leader, and comic relief. None of us can imagine how we will get along without him.
In addition to losing a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, our family is facing enormous financial challenges, as he is leaving behind his wife, Christine, who requires significant medical care herself, as well as three grandchildren who Dan and Chris adopted and have been raising for the last 14 years. The youngest, Jenny, still has 2 years of high school to complete, and will most likely be moving in with her 22-year-old sister, Katie, who is also mom to a newborn.
The burden of Dan's end-of-life expenses, assisted living care for his widow, and continued financial support for his adopted child weighs heavily on the family. We thank you for helping to ease these major life transitions by relieving some of the economic fear and uncertainty about the future. Thank you.
