My name is Kathryn and I am raising money for a very special 31-year-old horse named Kody. We are looking to raise $2500 for his surgery and aftercare.
Meet Kody
Kody is a 31-year-old horse with the gentlest soul and a heart that has touched everyone he meets. Born in Reno, Nevada, he has spent the last 15–20 years in California, where he’s become more than just a horse — he’s family.
A few years ago, Christine Dickson opened her heart and welcomed Kody to live in the beautiful sanctuary-type setting she has created. Kody finally gets to just be a horse, surrounded by his herd, sunshine, and the quiet life he deserves. In a place full of love, he’s been “unofficially adopted” by everyone at the barn, and it’s easy to see why. His kind eyes and gentle presence make him truly special.
But Kody now needs our help more than ever.
He has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma and requires surgery to remove the tumor. Despite his age, Kody is otherwise incredibly healthy and full of life. His vet believes in him and said, “Let’s get him to 32.” And we believe in him too.
This surgery will give Kody more time, more days in the sun, more moments with his herd, more chances to be loved.
If you’re able to donate, any amount, big or small, will go directly toward Kody’s surgery and care. If you can’t donate, sharing his story would mean the world to us.
Kody has given so much love in his lifetime. Let’s come together to give some back to him.
Thank you for supporting this sweet boy and helping us give him the peaceful, happy, healthy life he deserves
