If you had asked me a few days ago, I don’t think I would have ever imagined creating something like this.
After sharing what’s been going on with Kodi, I have been overwhelmed—in the best way—by the amount of messages, advice, resources, and genuine care that have poured in.
So many of you have taken the time to respond, offer suggestions, and even ask how you can help. More than a few people specifically encouraged me to start a GoFundMe for him.
To be completely honest, that made me hesitate. I’m not entirely sure why—it’s just not something that comes naturally to me. But I also don’t want to ignore the kindness and willingness of others to step in and support us during a hard moment. So here we are, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful we are.
Kodi has been recommended for a surgery that was quoted at around $7,000. We love him dearly, but that is a significant financial burden for our family, and we are trying to navigate this in a way that is both responsible and wise.
I also want to be fully transparent: we are still actively looking into the many resources, referrals, and suggestions that have been shared with us. We are making calls, asking questions, and doing our best to ensure we are choosing the right place and the best option for his care. That said, based on everything we’ve been told so far, it does seem like surgery is going to be inevitable. If we’re able to raise enough to offset the cost, it would give us the ability to move forward with scheduling his surgery and getting him the care he needs.
If you feel led to give, please know how deeply we appreciate it. If not, your prayers, encouragement, and even sharing this mean just as much to us. Truly.
Thank you for loving our family—and our sweet Kodi—so well. We don’t take it for granted
