Hi everyone,

I'm helping my parents, Rosa Lopez and Noe Lopez, who recently suffered a devastating house fire in Kodiak, Alaska. In just a few minutes, they lost nearly everything they have worked hard for: their home, belongings, and the essentials to make daily life possible. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but now they are starting the difficult process of starting over.

At this point, what they need is very unknown as we help pick up the pieces. To start, we would like to help them with their immediate needs like the essentials, temporary housing help, and what they need to get through the next few months, and then any extra funds will help to go towards rebuilding their home. My two younger siblings also lost nearly everything and have one surviving pet to take care of.

Insurance will help with part of the recovery, but as anyone who's gone through this knows, the process is slow and doesn't cover everything. Our goal with this fundraiser is to help bridge that gap and to give them stability and peace of mind as they take the first steps toward rebuilding their home and their lives.
