Support Koda's Recovery and Healing Journey

On May 9th, 2024, my son's life changed in the blink of an eye. My son was out front with his friends. The guys would always just sit in each others cars and just hang out on their phones and just "chill". My son's friend had been in a dark place and my son was trying to help him through it. The three boys were hanging out in my son's friend's car. My son's friend had the gun sitting on his lap.

The boys had been just hanging out and talking. The friend picked up his gun and started messing around with it. My son said, "dude stop being stupid there could be one in the chamber!" The friend then put it up to his head and my son said, "knock it off, you'll have to shoot me first!" The friend pulled the trigger and it blew out my sons left finger and knuckle, destroying the use of that hand. (My son's best friend did not make it. My son is a hero, he took a bullet for his best friend trying to save his life. Due to the severe injury to my son's hand he will be out of work for the next six months. He has had one surgery already and will have the second surgery in a month. I am unable to pay my son's bills. He will be out of work for six months due to surgeries. I am doing this for my son to be able to pay his monthly bills and have money to support himself. My son has a long road of recovery before him, as well as dealing with witnessing his best friend shoot himself. This will be with him forever. Not only the injury but the memory of that night.
