Hi, my name is Jenae and I’m asking for help during one of the most overwhelming times in my life.

My dog, Koda, has been diagnosed with IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), a severe autoimmune disease where his body is destroying its own red blood cells. This condition is life-threatening and requires immediate, intensive treatment.

Right now, Koda is fighting for his life. He may need a blood transfusion, which alone costs $6,000, and his hospital stay is estimated to be at least $2,000. These are just the starting costs, and they are far beyond what I can manage on my own.

At the same time, we are facing a sudden housing transition. After 12 years together, my boyfriend has asked us to move out of the home we’ve been living in. Now, my daughter and I are trying to figure out our next steps while also caring for Koda during this critical time. The stress and uncertainty make it even harder to keep him stable while he’s so fragile.

Koda is more than just a pet—he is family. He has been there for us through everything, and now he needs us more than ever.
